How to Reconstitute Your Peptides
Step-by-step guide for preparing any lyophilized peptide vial using Research H₂O. Following these steps properly ensures your compounds stay stable and sterile.
What is aseptic technique? Aseptic technique means keeping everything sterile at all times — use a fresh syringe and needle for every draw, swab all rubber stoppers with alcohol before puncturing, work on a clean surface, and never touch the needle tip with your fingers or let it contact any surface.

Step-by-Step Reconstitution

Prepare your workspace
Wash your hands thoroughly. Clear and wipe down a clean, flat surface. Have all supplies within reach before you open anything — minimize how much you're moving around once you start.

Swab the rubber stoppers on both vials
Take a fresh alcohol swab and wipe the rubber stopper on your peptide vial and on your Research H₂O vial. Let both dry completely — about 30 seconds. Do not blow on them or wave to speed up drying.

Draw your Research H₂O into the syringe
Insert the needle into the Research H₂O vial and draw out your desired amount. For most 3mL vials, 1–2 mL is typical — use the Dose Calculator tab above to find your exact amount based on your desired concentration. Pull the plunger slowly and steadily.

Inject slowly along the side of the peptide vial
Insert the needle at an angle so the tip points toward the glass wall — not down at the powder. Push the plunger very slowly, letting the water trickle down the inside of the vial. This prevents the powder from foaming or denaturing. Never inject directly onto the powder.

Remove the needle and swirl gently
Once all the water is in, remove the needle and cap it immediately. Roll the vial between your palms or swirl in a slow circle. The powder should dissolve into a clear solution within 30–60 seconds. If it doesn't fully dissolve, give it a few minutes — never shake.

Refrigerate immediately
Place the vial upright in the refrigerator at 35–46°F (2–8°C). Do not leave it at room temperature for extended periods.
⚠ Storage after reconstitution: Refrigerate at 35–46°F (2–8°C). Reconstituted peptides are stable for up to 180 days when properly refrigerated and handled with aseptic technique. Never refreeze a reconstituted vial. If the solution looks cloudy, has visible particles, or smells off — discard it.
